Tea in the desert

Over the Thanksgiving break, I was able to do a photo shoot of two beautiful and talented, young musicians. I do have to admit that I may be a little biased, as they are my nieces. However, I don't at all exaggerate. Here is a link to their temporary website.

You can judge for yourself. They are working on an update of their site, that should be up soon. You can listen to their music here in the meantime.

It was fun listening to these sisters hash out the conceptual ideas that they wanted portrayed in the photos. In the end, we found two great dresses from http://www.enchantedwardrobecostumes.com, a costumer from Mesa. I got her name from a friend of mine who is involved in the theater in AZ. We, then, raided my mother's silver service and borrowed my brother-in-law's truck and headed out to the Goldmine trail in the San Tan mountains.

My brother, sister in law, and another niece came along, and made fabulous assistants.
We went out to the Goldmine trail in the San Tan mountains. It was a gorgeous day in the desert. I had a wonderful time. Here are a few of my favorites from the shoot.

Az shoots - Childs

I had so much fun with the Childs family. As a photographer, I have made a complete fool of myself for a smile, a laugh, or anything other than a blank stare. With this wonderful family, there were no such antics required. They are so full of amazing energy. I was completely and delightfully entertained for over an hour.

Thanks for such a great shoot! I love you all!

Az shoots - Keresty Family hits down town Chandler

While down in AZ, I had an amazing time behind my camera. I got to see the new Chandler city hall building and had a great photo shoot with the Keresty family. We started at Austin Field with the girls' instruments. Next we headed further down town to the brick wall and finally ended at the City Hall while the sun went down. Here's a peak.

Thanks Kathy! It was fun and I can't wait for the next round.

Sullivan Sneak Peak

I love the Sullivan Family! Their daughter was one of the first people to befriend mine when we first came to RSM. I will be forever grateful for that.

I got to go play and shoot at the park with them this past Saturday. We had a great time. They are such a fun family. Here is just a small sneak peak.

Megan's Boys

While I was down in AZ this summer, I got to take pictures of the Craghead boys. I haven't written about this yet because when I was done, since she is my sister, we quickly uploaded them and put them on Meg's computer. So just tonight I went back through and fell in love with these pictures all over again.

These little boys are so adorable and they follow their daddy around everywhere. I was so glad I got to shoot them together. Enjoy!

Brittany and Stacy

I had the great honor of shooting the wedding of Stacy and Brittany Greene earlier this month. They were so much fun to work with.

Starting bright and early, we met at the hair dressers.

Here's from barely awake, to stepping into a dream world.

And getting ready for the reception...

It was beautiful...

And so were they.

Puente Family

I love this family. I have been taking pictures of them for a long time. The first shots I ever did I think the boys were 6 and 8, or 8 and 10. I'm not exactly sure, but very young. A couple weeks ago I got to take their family pictures again, and the older son's senior pictures. I can't believe time has gone by so fast.

I feel so blessed to have friends like the Puentes and had so much fun taking pictures with them. Here's a glimpse of a few.
